On Saturday, I went to a Tea Party at my lovely friend Bec’s house.  When I received the invitation I instantly knew what I wanted to make – a Teapot Cake!

I baked the cake using the Wilton Sports Ball Pan.  I wasn’t brave enough to try carving!

I baked the cake on Wednesday night, made the spout and handle and ganached the cake on Thursday night and decorated it on Friday night.  I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, although whenever I look at my cakes, all I can see are flaws!

Everyone at the Tea Party seemed to like the cake – so much that no one wanted to cut it!
