Planet Cake Course – Bride & Groom Figurines
On Sunday I spent another day at Planet Cake. This time I was enrolled in the Bride & Groom Figurines course. I enrolled in this course because I have absolutely no experience with making figurines, and I thought the best way to learn would be to learn from the best!
We started by making the heads and torsos for the bride and groom, followed by the groom’s legs.
The next part was the most fun, putting the bride together and creating her wedding dress! I decided that my bride would have a ruffled dress with a big bow on the back. After we made the dress, we put on her arms and head, some hair and her veil. I also added a bouquet of pink blossoms.
After finishing the bride, we had to assemble the groom and put a jacket on him, hands and arms, his head and some spiky hair. Then we put on the finishing touches – a pink bow tie and matching pink blossom.
The final part to the bride and groom was painting on their eyes and smiles – very scary! Mine ended up a little wonky, but they look ok!
I’m really happy with the finished product! Everyone in the class made something a little different – they all looked fabulous!
