My latest cake was made for a friend who celebrated her birthday on New Year’s Eve.

I decided to make her a gift box cake in pale turquoise and white.  I added a damask pattern to the sides of the cake and added some piped details which I painted silver.

I loved the elegance of this cake, and the birthday girl loved it too!
